College 101

What if?

I was on this great stretch of blogging (one per week, which is all I’m capable of at the moment) for a few weeks, and then it paused. Not for any real reason except that things are uneventful. It’s not even that big a deal because, to be honest, no one is reading this. That’s not a dig at me or you (if you happen to be reading this), but it’s simply because my marketing efforts are nonexistent.

ServSafe Exam

In my last post, I mentioned that I was on a new adventure in the culinary world. I’m singing this as I’m typing because, well, one word, food! I took a course through Holyoke Community College that was free and incredible! For this class, we were required to take the ServSafe Manager, Alcohol, and Allergens exams. I studied for these tests like they were the bar exam (not the alcohol bar but the law bar). Anyway, I passed all three exams, and it felt as if I was surrounded by flour (if you’re wondering, that’s a really good feeling. Just look at the photo above. Flour is amazing.) So, after I passed, I proudly wrote the following on Facebook, and suddenly the soft flour surrounding me turned into mush.

Music, the only thing that gets me through my workday! Ok, not really, but I was trying to come up with a motivational quote. You know, one that could be turned into a meme or something. Obviously, my creativity has flown off into the unknown (hopefully it’s not a one-way trip), but music definitely holds a key to happiness for me.
